Teacher of Games Design\nSalford, Greater Manchester\n£28,328 - £46,914 Pro Rata\nPermanent | 0.8 FTE\n\n An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and innovative Teacher of Games Design to join a thriving Digital department within a leading creative and digital education provider in Salford.\n \nThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified educator or industry professional with experience in games design, 3D art, animation, or digital media to inspire the next generation of creative talent. You will be joining a forward-thinking environment with industry-standard facilities, modern technology, and strong links with employers across the creative and gaming sectors.\n \nThe Role You will deliver engaging and inspiring Games Design lessons across Levels 1-3, supporting students to develop both technical and creative skills for progression into higher education or employment within the gaming and digital industries.\n The successful candidate will have experience teaching or working within games design and a strong understanding of awarding bodies such as BTEC and OCR.\n \nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver high-quality teaching across Games Design programmes\nPlan, assess, and provide effective feedback to students\nSupport curriculum development within the Digital department\nInspire and motivate students through innovative teaching methods and new technologies\nContribute to departmental moderation and quality assurance processes\nMaintain strong organisational and professional standardsRequirements The ideal candidate will have:\n\nA relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed)\nA relevant honours degree or substantial industry experience within Games Design\nExperience with 3D modelling and animation software such as Maya or Blender\nExperience using game engines including Unreal Engine or Construct 3\nKnowledge of creative software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Davinci Resolve\nUnderstanding of games design pipelines, 3D art workflows, and project management\nExcellent organisational and communication skills\nA genuine passion for games design and the wider gaming industryWhat’s on Offer\nGenerous annual leave package with approximately 13 weeks holiday per year\nEarly finish on Fridays\nFree on-site parking\nTeachers’ Pension Scheme\nFamily-friendly and flexible working policies\nOngoing training and career development opportunities\nStaff wellbeing initiatives and wellbeing days\nExcellent employee benefits and retail discounts\nSupportive and inclusive working environment with strong staff engagementSafeguarding & Equality This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check in line with safeguarding requirements.\n\n Applications are welcomed from individuals of all backgrounds.
