Field Maintenance Engineer

You’ll cover UK-wide client sites.\n\nCore Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00, with paid overtime (1.5x hourly rate), weekend and night shift flexibility needed. On-call rota: 3 weeks in every 8 Weekday, 1 week in 4 Weekend (with £3,000 allowance and generous overtime rates).\n\nThe Role\n\nAs part of our UK-wide Maintenance Support team, you'll work flexibly across a variety of fast-paced environments delivering top-quality support for automated material handling systems. Your role will include:\n\n· Servicing and fault diagnosis on electro-mechanical systems\n\n· Supporting customers nationwide, often autonomously\n\n· Identifying improvements to boost reliability and reduce downtime\n\n· Advising on spare parts and long-term fixes\n\n· Liaising professionally with customers and other MotionTech teams\n\n· Occasional project support and site-based reactive cover\n\n· Pro-rata on-call coverage (shared across the team)\n\n· Warranty support for customers and MotionTech partners\n\nWhat You’ll Need\n\n· HNC or relevant equivalent qualification with electrical bias (essential)\n\n· Strong experience with automated systems maintenance\n\n· Confidence working independently and fault-finding under pressure\n\n· Comfortable with travel, overnight stays and shift flexibility\n\n· Full UK Driving licence\n\n· Proactive communicator with a can-do, solutions-focused mindset\n\nWhat’s In It For You?\n\n· £48,500 base + £3,000 on-call allowance\n\n· Potential to earn £65,000–£75,000+ based on overtime appetite\n\n· Company van, fuel card, iPad, laptop & mobile\n\n· Matched pension (5%)\n\n· 33 days annual leave\n\n· 6x salary death in service\n\n· Flexible, empathetic management\n\n· Performance-related bonus opportunities\n\n· All tools, uniform and kit provided\n\n· Personal development, career progression & trade test support\n\nAt MotionTech Lifetime Services, inclusion, diversity and respect are part of how we operate.
